Weight Loss and Body Positivity

As a naturopath and medical herbalist, I do not focus on losing weight. I more look at the root cause of WHY you are having trouble losing the weight. It is NOT all about overeating or lack of exercise. Yes for some it may be, but often there are other factors at play such as hunger and satiety hormones, digestion, detoxification pathways, stress, emotions, lack of sleep, adrenals, PCOS, insulin resistance, thyroid, and even menopause.

Weight loss and weight management is a challenge and finding effective solutions to this problem needs a holistic approach. Weight loss is often difficult to achieve and maintain. Simply putting weight gain down to a failure of willpower doesn’t accurately represent the complex nature of weight loss. I work with women to help them balance their body and get healthier and a flow on affect can often be weight loss.

 

Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the BIGGEST step of your life.
